I.Design Group

From owning the Myers Park high end home furnishings boutique, Isabella, and creating Isabella Design for full service interior design, I-Design Group was born.  We have a passion to provide a truly custom and unique design experience for each client by working hand in hand with Charlotte’s leading architects, contractors and design trade.  With over 30 years experience in the Charlotte market, our connections and expertise come together to allow for the utmost specialized attention to interiors and all the aspects of our clients design project.  We strive to make your project memorable, pleasing, and overall pleasant and rewarding experience!

Kristen Cox 

Head Designer/Owner 

Kristen Cox attended Clemson University and then received her BFA in Interior Design from F.I.D.E.R. accredited Converse College in Spartanburg, SC.  She and architect husband Craig moved to Charlotte immediately after graduation and now consider it home.  They have 2 grown children and adorable goldendoodle Remy.

From working in both commercial  & residential design firms  for over 7 years, Kristen realized she missed the camaraderie and personal relationships and friendships formed through her residential clients. I.Design Group embodies her mission to serve clients with her vast knowledge, skill and passion for creating the perfect space to reflect the clients’ tastes, lifestyle, and well being.  It is her privilege to be welcomed into their homes and listen to their wishes, needs and function of the space, only to transform it into a truly inspiring, beautiful, and yet practical home with impeccable and timeless design for the clients to relish for years to come. 

Susan Zban

Office Administrator

Susan Zban grew up in West Virginia & graduated from Marshall University with a BBA in Accounting.  She and her husband have been in the Carolinas for over 30 years. Susan has been on the I. Design Group team since 2016.  Susan is a mother of three and recently a grandmother.   While she loves the business part of her job, working at a design firm is especially fun for her since she’s always loved the world of design.  Susan enjoys walking, gardening, reading, & shopping.​

Laura Wallace

Senior Design Assistant

Laura Wallace has lived in Charlotte most of her life.  She graduated from Meredith College with degrees in English and Economics and has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from NC State University.  Laura has always been interested in interior design and has worked for a local home builder before joining I. Design Group in 2021.  Laura and her husband Alex have three children all of whom live in various places.  They enjoy hiking and biking, and Laura also enjoys playing tennis, reading and volunteering as a Guardian Ad Litem in Mecklenburg County​.
